Local business is the cornerstone of Medicine Hat, that’s why we’re asking you to Amplify Medicine Hat by nominating local businesses we can highlight and support.

The YMCA deserves to be recognized for its commitment and responsiveness to community needs. Examples include Camp Jude, a day camp with a trauma informed approach, offering group fitness at the Redcliff Senior Center AND launching licensed day camps allowing families access to subsidy.

“Most people do not realize that the YMCA isn’t an international corporation. It’s actually a charity that’s independently incorporated with a local board of directors that serves the communities of Medicine Hat and Brooks.

The YMCA offers a wide range of services designed to meet the community’s needs including recreation, fitness, swimming lessons, day camps, youth leadership programs, employment services, and numerous community programs. The organization has undergone significant organizational change and improvements over the last few years, but most in the community are unaware of this. The Y deserves to be recognized and celebrated for its commitment to the community and services it provides.”
