Born and bred on the West Coast, I grew up a passionate hockey fan, and would fall asleep listening to Vancouver Canucks games for close to a decade. Once I realized I did not have the size, speed, or skill to be a player, I decided to give the play-by-play side of things a try and I’m sure glad I did.

I walked into my childhood rink on a Friday night in September 2016, as a wide-eyed, acne-covered, socially anxious 16-year old and asked to do their play-by-play. I was told yes, given ZERO training, got a headset thrown on my head, and I’ve been calling games ever since. It’s crazy to think that was nearly 10 years ago

 

When I’m not at the rink, you can catch me browsing for vinyl, chowing down on poutine, sipping on BC Beer, or setting my lineup for my Fantasy Football team(s)….the beer and football things sometimes overlap

You can catch me before EVERY Tigers home game on WILD 94.5 at 6:30 with the Pre-Game show, and with ALL the action at 7:00 telling you who’s shooting and who’s scoring. Oh, and I’m usually joined by some guy named Lance. He needs a barber.
